Sweet Hallmark Romances Include Original Recipes by Janice Lynn

One of the many things I love about writing for Hallmark Publishing is that each of my books comes with an original recipe. In Wrapped Up in Christmas, my 2019 release and the first of my Christmas books with them, there was a yummy Cinnamon Swirl Bread recipe. You’ve heard the old saying that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach? Well, in the story, there’s an older lady, one of my Butterflies, who’s Cinnamon Swirl Bread is reported to do just that.

In my second Christmas story with Hallmark Publishing, Wrapped Up in Christmas Joy, the original recipe is for Dilly Duchess Potatoes. Folks, these are just as yummy as the Cinnamon Swirl Bread! Grandma Ruby, another Butterfly, is renowned for her cooking skills. Her Dilly Duchess Potatoes are a big hit and yours can be, too, when you follow her recipe!

Wrapped Up in Christmas Hope is my 2021 Christmas story with Hallmark Publishing and there’s another fabulous original recipe in the book. Grandma Ruby stops by her grandson and daredevil firefighter, Andrew’s, house to have him taste test some food she’s made to help her decide which to serve at an upcoming wedding. Of course, her real mission is to get him to pen up to her about what’s going on between him and nurse Morgan and her adorable five-year-old son. Andrew is more than happy to taste test and chooses her Lemon Chicken Scaloppini as the winner. Your family will, too, when you make this succulent main dish.

Y’all know that you can make all three of these fabulous dishes and almost have your menu complete? Just throw in a healthy veggie dish and voila!

I’ve been so blessed to get to write these three stories for Hallmark and to have their wonderful original recipes in each book. If you enjoy Hallmark movies or sweet romances, I hope you’ll check out Wrapped Up in Christmas Hope. Happy Reading!

  4. Yum. It is only just after seven in the morning here and too early for cinnamon swirls OR duchess potatoes. Which doesn't stop me being hungry for both of them.
