Born and raised on the outskirts of Toronto, Ontario, Amy fled the big city to settle down with the country boy of her dreams. When she's not furiously typing away at her computer, she's a mom to three wonderful children.
Life got in the way, and after the birth of her second child, she decided to pursue her dream of becoming a romance author.

I’m not original in the kitchen sadly. Words come easy, but
recipes …I’d rather just follow instructions.
Right now I’m on Weight Watchers and I’ve completely fallen in
love with Skinny Taste recipes. Everyone I’ve tried is seriously delicious and
so easy to make. Also healthy and kid friendly.
She even lists points for Weight Watchers and has recipes that
are Gluten Free or Paleo. Check her out.
Every day I’ve been trying to try a new Skinny Taste, so I made
Sesame Honey Chicken in the Crock Pot. You can find the original recipe here:
It was very easy. I used 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts and
they shredded so nicely. My husband actually thought it was pulled pork at
first glance.
I don’t really eat a lot of pork because of digestive issues.
Even with the gallbladder gone I still have my issues with pork.
I served this with rice and steamed broccoli and the kids gobbled
it up.
Another site that is go to for me on Weight Watchers is Drizzle
Me Skinny. It can be found here: http://drizzlemeskinny.com
Drizzle specializes in a lot of baked goods that I thought were
off limits when I started Weight Watchers, but Drizzle’s muffins are made with
mashed bananas and applesauce with either no flour or small amount.
My favourite recipe, so far, is the Zucchini Chocolate Chip Bread
So, that’s how I operate in the kitchen.
I will say since starting Weight Watchers in January my energy
has increased, I don’t feel as sick and I actually don’t eat salad dressing
anymore.
My favourite thing on a green salad now is a bit of salt and
pepper and freshly squeezed lemon.

Yummy...that sounds wonderful. For two months I was doing chicken and fish - just grilled, spices but nothing else. Since Feb 21 I am down 61 lbs., thanks to gastric by pass surgery. Now that I am eating different things I will have to give this a try.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds totally tasty! I've been working on eating a little more healthy and to include veggies in my diet, so I'm definitely going to give this a try. It's always fun to try new flavors. Hugs...Ro

Looks so good!
ReplyDeleteSounds pretty tasty! I don't think I've ever seen sesame chicken shredded before.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a fun read.
ReplyDeleteAnd isn't Weight Watchers great?
I mostly follow recipes too but I end up changing them just a little to better suit my tastes. So many recipes call for garlic and I hate garlic so I tend to leave that out and add other spices.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! My first thought upon seeing this was hmmm, sesame chicken, probably can't have this because of my strict diet. Never mind. I'm gonna have to try this!
ReplyDeleteYummy, this I have to try it looks so good.
ReplyDeletethank you for sharing!!
